@Jeff: These were my Saint Davids day breakfast,boiled and fried from fresh with Laverbread cakes !! (first time I´ve seen fresh cockles for sale in Germany)

@jamesy: Aye !! you should try it.Mix the cockles with some breadcrumb and lightly fry them.Add some Laverbread cakes(Dark Welsh edible seaweed mixed with oatmeal and fried in a pan together with thick cut bacon) Cockles,Laverbread and good welsh bacon ,does it get any better ?? Try it if you ever visit Wales..

@Christel: Leider sehr selten in Deutschland !! Als kind Bei mir zuhause in West Wales haben wir(meine familie) sehr oft am wochenenden Herzmuscheln gesamelt am strand und zuhause gekocht und naturlich gegessen !!
