Darkness falls

The view from my Balcony

Hectic life just carries on.Swine flu is running rife in Germany at the moment (have you got it where you are ?) and over a third of everybody at work are sick at the moment so the few left fit,well and fighting are having to push out the over time to make up for the sick and missing !!
I´ll be in to comment when I can.In the meantime I´ll be posting new shots from my new camera taken on a city ramble on Tuesday...

Is that a park you live across from?
When we were in Italy there was a great lemon garden we were across from at the hotel... I actually like seeing the 'everyday' shot of where everyone lives... around the world...

@Fliss: The view from my balcony looks much more impresive at night than during the day.All the trees and plants are not a park,in fact running through the middle of them is the cutting for the tram lines that run right past.In the background are on the extreme right a large branch of a local bank and otherwise various blocks of flats.
That is in fact a good idea for a new challange !! WHERE I LIVE

An eerie green glow Are the lights there green not yellow or is it a post processing effect?

@jamesy: The lights are in fact white !! I suppose it just depends on the length of the exposure as to how the end effect comes out.There is NO post processing used at all here.

@Jeff: Your not looking properly !! Bottom of the shot,left of middle,just by the 3269 of the watermark.That is a tram going by,I was a bit dissapointed with the result :-(

Nice shot...that business about you struggling....the answer to that is buy a new camera and fill up a few cards...guaranteed to do the trick!

I've been gone for a bit Anthony. What a good day to check in and see your view. WOW! I like that you've presented it as a panorama. The colors are intriguing.

Say, how'd you like to participate in a challenge? I have just made an Am3 CHALLENGE: Photograph something archetypal in your world that shows your holiday season as it is celebrated (Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or ???). Post it on January 1st, 2009. Do you think you'd have the time? I guess from your comment that there's a lot going on at the moment.
