Starting another week of the big smoke !!
Hectic life just carries on.Swine flu is running rife in Germany at the moment (have you got it where you are ?) and over a third of everybody at work are sick at the moment so the few left fit,well and fighting are having to push out the over time to make up for the sick and missing !!
I´ll be in to comment when I can.

Ahhh brilliant selective colouring Anthony!!! What a great shot! It typifies England I think:-) Big Ben (the bell not the tower of course) and a 99 ice cream....lovely! Great stuff!

@grouser: I think they were waiting for a refill of soft Ice-cream mix being brought up from a cafe down by the London eye.The weather was roasting that day and they couldn´t keep up with the demand for cold snacks !!

@Observing: 28 mm wide angle was used !! I´ll have to have a word with Boris !! Maybe they can chop a few feet off so that it fits in the frame next time :-)

@Fliss: It was a roasting hot day in the city that day.My German and Polish workmates who were with me on that trip were expecting cold,damp and fog !! even in June......(Stereotype Victorian London) There is food available every couple of hundred metres in central London(Ice-cream,hot dogs etc) and with so many American tourists visiting they get enough custom(they don´t mind paying the vastly inflated prices !!)

@Jeff: I don´t think I ever had a 99 in Monti´s.I remember the realy nice chips and the sound of the steam being pumped through the milky coffee !!

Have you used selective colour on this photo. I have Picassa but don't know how or where to do this. As a Kiwi I have no idea what a 99 is please explain. also where to do this in Picassa

@jamesy: OK Debbie here goes,Open Picassa,then open a photo.click on EFFECTS then on FOCAL B+W its on the last row of the effects buttons.You can then select a position and size of a spot of colour on your shot.It´s not always precise and you need to fiddle around but for a bit of free software it´s not bad.As for a 99 that´s a scoop of Ice cream on a cornet(waffle) with a bar of "Cadbury Flake" chocolate stuck in it.
Have fun with picassa and with building your own 99 !!

@Stephen Phillips: I don´t think the firms owning these Ice cream vans are realy bothered about Mr disney hunting them down.Things are a bit slacker in the UK I reckon than with you in the states.Maybe they are official though,but I don´t think so !!
