Love the flakes of snaow falling. 13 Oct 2008 9:28am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomIs snow still guaranteed there Anthony? It's become very much a hit and miss affair here. The last really good snowfall was in 1982 when we got six feet and all the roads disappeared. It went down to minus 20 one night and the propane gas wouldn't work. It hung around for six weeks of crystal clear sunny days and then spring came with a bang. Lovely. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. 13 Oct 2008 10:14am @grouser: We normaly get one good dumping a year these days here in Bielefeld. To see really deep snow all winter long we just have to visit my wife´s home stomping ground, the Harz mountains. Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesLove it... one day I hope I can see snow... maybe not the cold with it... 13 Oct 2008 12:43pm @Fliss: Get over here to Germany Fliss !! Lot´s of snow here..... Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United KingdomThis would be a nice shot without all that white fuzzy stuff in it ....I hope it's not like this when we come over or you can go to the Christmas Markets on your own. 13 Oct 2008 2:50pm @Jeff: Cold feet from the snow is just a good excuse to have another Lalumba !! Maramy from Aberdeenshire, United KingdomLovely winter scene - but nicer to be on the inside looking out!! 13 Oct 2008 2:58pm @Maramy: Get well wrapped up and get out in the snow, walking !! Kelela from Upland, United StatesOh my my; soooo beautiful. Christmas card quality. I never get to see that where I live. Thanks for sharing. This is wonderfully captured. 13 Oct 2008 3:59pm @Kelela: As soon as we get snow this year Kelela I´ll be posting some more shots !! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI've not seen that stuff for years, I wish for it every winter, but it never arrives. My 14 year old lad has never really played in the snow, he thinks half an inch of slush on the ground is a blizzard. 13 Oct 2008 10:13pm @Richard_Irwin: Sounds like it´s time for a winter holiday over here in Germany !! JJ from Jersey City, United StatesHad me worried for a sec when this opened I though ohh no not yet LOL 13 Oct 2008 11:33pm @JJ: Oh come on,all those great photo opportunities out walking in the snow.Too good to miss. That´s my daughter Alisha just starting to build a snow man. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomI'd love to wake up to this scene at christmas, brilliant the way the flash has lit up the falling snow, like little jewels tumbling down. 14 Oct 2008 10:30am @MaryB: Thank you, there´s no guarantee of a white xmas here either these days.Let´s hope. |
