A shot of the Brandenburger gate in Berlin.Taken from the old "East Berlin" side.

Hectic life just carries on.Swine flu is running rife in Germany at the moment (have you got it where you are ?) and over a third of everybody at work are sick at the moment so the few left fit,well and fighting are having to push out the over time to make up for the sick and missing !!
I´ll be in to comment when I can.

Very good image, typical 70's look. Nice framing with the lamppost, but I don't notice any Trabant's around.

@Observing: This was taken just a few weeks ago,Trabants are a real rarity these days in Germany what with all the enviromental laws concerning cars..The only "Trabi" pictures I´ve got are all on paper !! Maybe I´ll have to scan some into the PC.

cool composition and street shot. it looks genuinely old. maybe my eye is fooling me with the silhouettes, but i almost think i see a horse-drawn carriage.

@danthro: Your eye is not fooling you,you can get a carriage ride around Berlin for a large amount of Euros(the tourists love it)
